Redaction Toolbar
Built because there had to be an easier way to redact Excel.
Redaction Toolbar is an Excel add-in for redacting native Excel files. Select the cells or columns you want to remove, click once, and the tool deletes the underlying data and overlays the word "redacted" in its place. No hiding columns, no filling cells with black, no leaving the data lying around for the next person who opens the workbook.
What it does
Standard Redaction. Select a range of cells or entire columns. The tool removes the underlying data, merges the selected cells together, and places the word "redacted" across the merged space. The data is genuinely gone — not hidden, not obscured, not recoverable from the file.
Bulk Unhide. Quickly exposes any hidden sheets or hidden cells anywhere in the workbook. Use it before sharing a file to confirm there's nothing tucked away that shouldn't be there.
That's the whole tool. Two functions. No project plan, no learning curve.
