What it does

Import

• Images with OPT load file. Import images using an existing OPT load file.
• Image folder. Bring in a folder of TIFFs, JPEGs, or PNGs that do not have a load file provided.
• Import PDFs. Bring in a single PDF or a folder of PDFs. PDF import will extract word coordiantes, bookmarks and text.

Document Identification

• Manual Identification. Use grid layout with page preview to see page. Click on a page to mark it as new document or new family.
• Text Similarity. Compares OCR text across subsequent pages. Similarity in text can be used to identify document breaks giving you a starting point document / family identification.
• Machine Learning. Train a model to look for images you are looking for. Once model is built, you can apply it to any image collection to perform binary classification. This can be used to find headers of email for document start/stop detection or used to find specific type of image in a large collection, for example screenshots.

Processing

• OCR. Tesseract-powered OCR in over a hundred languages, including non-Latin scripts. Auto-rotate handles batches with mixed page orientations.
• Bates Capture. When a production was stamped but no load file came with it, draw a rectangle on a representative page where the Bates appears. Production Studio runs OCR on that zone across every document and writes the begin and end Bates into each record.
• Generate thumbnails. Build thumbnails for quick visual reference of your project.

Export

OPT, DAT, PDF, LFP, and OCR-text exports for any review platform — Concordance, Relativity, RelativityOne, Reveal, CS Disco, and others. Multi-format export in one run; load files at the root of the destination folder, images and PDFs in subfolders alongside.

Standard and Pro

Production Studio is licensed in two tiers.

Standard covers standard tools most paralegals need on a typical matter: project setup, import, tagging pages as new document or new families and export to OPT and DAT.

Pro adds the heavier-lift features: AI for document detection, OCR, automated bates capture and expanded export set capabilities.
